Blade Runner Sizing

How to Find the Right Bauer Runner Size

Getting the correct runners for your skates is quick and easy — you just need to know where to look. Follow the steps below to make sure you order the perfect fit.

Step 1: Flip Your Skate and Check the Holder

Most Bauer skate holders have a 3-digit number stamped on the back corner of the plastic holder (not the blade itself).

Look for a number like 263, 272, 280, etc.

This number tells you exactly what runner size your skates use.

Don’t See a Number on Your Holder?

No worries! If your holders don’t have a visible number, you can use our Bauer Runner Size Chart below to find the correct size based on your skate model and skate size.

Here’s how:

  1. Skate type (e.g. Supreme, Vapor, Youth).
  2. Skate size along the chart.
  3. Runner size listed underneath is what you need.

Example

Let’s say you have:

  • Bauer Supreme M4 skates
  • Size 8
  • Fit2

You’ll flip your skate, find the number 272 on the back of the holder — this means you need Size 272 runners.

Or, if there's no number, because it has worn off or hard to see:

  • Use the chart under “Supreme – Fit 2 – Size 8”
  • You’ll still find that the matching runner size is 272
